It feels so good to finally write a positive review on here. Grasshopper did an EXCELLENT job and took extremely good care of my valuables. If you are moving, I urge you to consider them as an option. I was only charged for time which was quite unlike other companies that in addition to the time charge, wanted to sell me padded boxes, loan me used wardrobe carriers and charge for an additional storage space stop.  Steve made the process seamless, from my initial call to inquire, to arriving on time in my secured building (even when I didn't answer my phone to buzz him in), to the simplicity of making my final payment...I had no worries.  It was all hassle free thanks to Grasshopper. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family and use them to get to my next destination.

I just wrote to Steven to re-hire Grasshopper Movers for a new job, and I realized I never provided an outstanding review for their original work for me, in June 2015. Suffice it to say they are the first people I am calling now, 2 years later, because the quality of their work back in 2015 was just exceptional. From scheduling, to planning, to move-in day, the professionalism was unparalleled. The actual move went flawlessly, with not even a smudge on any wall as they carefully maneuvered large furniture items around our narrow stair landings. Clearly, I would recommend as I am hiring them again myself!

I used Steve & Ben for a move from DC to New York recently and it was the best decision I could have made. They provided professionalism and outstanding customer service before and during every step of the move. They arrived on time, loaded my entire studio apartment in just an hour, and helped me make multiple trips to the dumpster to throw away big items I wasn't taking with me. They arrived on time to my destination (even before I did) and made the unloading process fast and easy. They were friendly, personable and lovely to be around, plus even helped me load up my Uber to my final destination once everything else was done. I would definitely use them again if I ever had the opportunity. Thanks for making my already stressful move as easy and stress free as possible!

These guys are great.  Steve is the best.  I was working inside a really tight window (a picky condo unit that would only let me move in during certain hours).  These guys made it work: they showed up on time, were funny and courteous, handled my stuff with great care, and got the job done.  Very reasonably priced to top it all off.  Another guy ended up having to join to move in all my stuff within the allotted time period, and they did not make me pay extra for that.  Moving sucks, but they make it as enjoyable as possible.  Highly recommend.

I have had many moves and thus, many experiences with moving companies. These include corporate movers and cross state movers. Grasshopper Movers is HANDS DOWN the best moving company I've worked with. Maybe because they are local and small, or maybe because they're just committed to providing the best service possible.

EVERY single person I dealt with at Grasshopper has been customer focused and professional. They are clearly a company that is focused on meeting customer needs versus up-selling or lengthening the process.

I would have even considered myself a not ideal client in that I contacted Grasshopper last minute and used them for storage far longer than anticipated AND asked for delivery and received it within 2 days of the request (meaning they didn't get to milk more money out of us just because they could.).

DC is filled with lots of competition and these folks are just old fashioned in their approach - they have pride in their work. Finally, they also had the best price based on my extensive research (which I do professionally). If only they provided services outside of moving and storage - housekeeping? mobile phone service? Wifi & cable TV? OK, now I jest, but you get my point.

Call them and sleep well. (FYI: I rarely write these because I seem to not have time, but I was motivated because of how awesome they all were to me - it's the least I could do.)
